Our Founder
Abdul Kadir, BalancedReturns founder and principal, holds an MBA with an accounting concentration from Thomas College and a B.S. in accounting and finance from the University of Southern Maine. He is qualified as an Enrolled Agent by the Internal Revenue Service and currently is engaged in the process to earn the CPA designation.
Abdul Kadir has several years’ experience including roles as a Senior Tax Accountant with a public accounting firm, CEO and founder of a successful health related business, and as a self-employed tax preparer. He specializes in developing an in-depth understanding of client needs and providing the financial services they need to thrive.
Abdul Kadir lives in Portland with his wife, Amina, sons: Ali and Mohamed, and daughters: Zamzam and Zuhayla. In his free time, he like to play soccer and run on Baxter Boulevard in Portland.
